Shahabuddin Medical College, Dhaka

Shahabuddin Medical College is a private medical college, which was established in 2003 and it is situated in the capital city of Dhaka. The college is affiliated by the University of Dhaka and is a reputed and recognized institute for the study of medicine. The college building is a grand one with 12 story building. The college is attached with a 500 bed hospital with outdoor & senior facilities. The degree awarded by the college is approved and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and is enlisted with WDOMS (World Directory of Medical Schools). The college has also been recognized by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). The college has different pre-clinical and clinical departments for different types of discipline and have reputed and well known faculties for these departments. The college caters to the needs of the international students, especially from Asian countries of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Many students enroll each year to this institute from these countries.
The objective of the college is to create an able crop of doctors from both local and international lot of students by providing them good learning opportunities and a rigorous training, which will allow them to serve well and pursue their profession with utmost passion and sincerity. The faculties are experienced, and the teaching staff is very experienced. Even the clinical training staff is well trained, and the students’ training is provided under strict guidance. The college takes their course work seriously and therefore the students have to adhere to a strict course and training curriculum.

Accommodation

The college provides safe and comfortable accommodation for all local and international students. The rooms are given on a twin-sharing basis. The hostel rooms are fully furnished. The hostel is equipped with laundry services and a hygienic and sanitized mess, with provisions for Indian food as well. The campus is fully secured with adequate provisions for the security of their students. 

Student Life

The campus has a very secure and safe environment. The students are encouraged to mingle among themselves. The international and national students are encouraged to participate in various extra-curricular and extra academic activities. Participation in sports, quizzes, competitions, debates, etc. is encouraged by the college. The international students are taken care of in a special way, as to not miss their home during festivals, and the provision of Indian food for Indian students is really special.
