Applications Open For MBBS Admission 2022-23 For Foreign Students

As stated in the MBBS admission circular for foreign students (Session 2022-23) of the Directorate General of Medical Education of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh dated 9th February 2023, admissions of foreign students in government and private medical colleges are now open for the academic session 2022-23. 

Out of the total 104 MBBS seats in government medical colleges in Bangladesh for students from SAARC countries, 22 are reserved for Indian students. 

In the case of private medical colleges in Bangladesh, 45% of seats are reserved for foreign students.

Academic requirements for MBBS in Bangladesh: 

• For government medical colleges in Bangladesh: Aggregate GPA 8.0 on GPA 5 scale in 10+2
• For private medical colleges in Bangladesh: Aggregate GPA of 7.0 in GPA 5 scale and GPA 4.0 in Biology in 10+2

Documentations required for admission:

• Recent passport-size photographs
• Passport
• Pass certificates and mark sheets of 10th and 12th standards
• Copy of telegraphic transfer

Students applying for MBBS in Bangladesh are required to get their submitted documents attested by the Ministry of Education and Foreign Affairs of their countries. After the online submission of the application form, candidates have to collect the system-generated copy of the submitted application form. Candidates have to submit their attested documents to the Bangladesh commission to obtain a student visa.

Interested candidates can apply online at the Directorate General of Medical Education's official website (www.dgme.gov.bd.). The deadline for both government and private medical colleges to submit online applications for MBBS in Bangladesh is March 30, 2023.
